Position Overview
As a Social Media Manager at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in fine-tuning our brand's digital voice and expanding our community engagement. You will take the lead in developing and executing innovative social media strategies, generating compelling content, and analyzing social media performance metrics to optimize engagement and brand position. Working closely with our internal teams across marketing, PR, and customer service, you will ensure our social presence aligns seamlessly with our overarching business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging social media strategies that resonate with our audience and enhance our brand visibility.
- Create appealing and shareable content tailored for multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Manage day-to-day social media operations, including monitoring conversations, responding to customer inquiries, and managing posts.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Analyze social media metrics to gauge effectiveness and improve future campaigns—creating dashboards to visualize data trends and insights.
- Stay updated with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technology to keep our strategy at the forefront.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers and brand advocates to enhance our reach and build partnerships that will drive our social media presence.
- Assist in crisis management and maintain the company’s reputation by effectively responding to inquiries and criticisms branded on social used channels.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management or communications, preferably within a corporate or tech environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and strategies.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Knowledge of social media analytics and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience in community management and online customer engagement.
Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong creative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
